Well, I went to my doctor this morning for the first check up since I found out I had an ectopic pregnancy. I can't even believe its been 3 months since I found out what was going on. At that point, I was 7 weeks. I can't help but think about the fact that if I had a normal pregnancy, I would either know, or be soon finding out the sex. I know God had different plans though. Anyway, back to the doctor visit. She did a regular check up. Also, she told me that she is a little concerned about my left tube being irregular, or malfunctioned, or not functionally right, and that being the reason for the ectopic pregnancy. We won't know till we look at it. In roughly 2 weeks, when I start my next cycle, I have to call the nurse and let her know. She will then schedule an outpatient procedure in radiology for me on day 8-10 of my cycle. I will know the exact day and time in a couple of weeks. They will run a catheter through my tubes and run dye in them. I will be able to see this as well on a screen. We will not only be able to see if there is any tissue left, but we will also be able to see if my tube(s) are normal. If it is not, then we will have to schedule surgery to have my tube removed. I can still conceive with just one. Lets hope I at LEAST have one good tube. If the test shows that both of my tubes or normal and healthy, then we can try as soon as we want! I will get the results immediately.
I will be so glad when this is all over.
