Congrats Ashlie and Jacob!

Well this weekend in N.O. was so much fun, and was filled with excitement! Ashlie and Jacob are soon to be Mr. and Mrs.! I am so happy for them, and am looking foward to the planning! Ashlie, you will be such a beautiful bride, and like I told you yesterday, I couldn't have prayed for a more wonderful husband for my friend! I love ya'll!

On a random note, I have been really thinking hard about something that I want to do again. Something that was my passion for over 16 years. Something I was good at. Something that made me so happy (and skinnier). Ballet. I know ya'll are doing one of two things right now. You are either laughing histarically at this insane thought, or you are picturing the ballerina hippos from "Fantasia". I don't blame you, cause I will look like that. Well, I am really getting serious about taking an adult class once or twice a week somewhere. I haven't even looked into places, or prices. I miss it so much, and want to get back into it to help my figure, my stress, and my flexibilty and health. Ballet was great for all of that. Not to mention the calorie burning, and the cardio. Tommy said he is supportive, and would love to see me do it. Of course, I don't really want to get into the performances, 8 + classes a week, or competitions like I used to, but just one class a week, or two just for my own good and enjoyment.

Hope everyone is having a good week! I promise to have a huge picture post soon.

Not-So-Wordless Wednesday

Well, I went to my doctor this morning for the first check up since I found out I had an ectopic pregnancy. I can't even believe its been 3 months since I found out what was going on. At that point, I was 7 weeks. I can't help but think about the fact that if I had a normal pregnancy, I would either know, or be soon finding out the sex. I know God had different plans though. Anyway, back to the doctor visit. She did a regular check up. Also, she told me that she is a little concerned about my left tube being irregular, or malfunctioned, or not functionally right, and that being the reason for the ectopic pregnancy. We won't know till we look at it. In roughly 2 weeks, when I start my next cycle, I have to call the nurse and let her know. She will then schedule an outpatient procedure in radiology for me on day 8-10 of my cycle. I will know the exact day and time in a couple of weeks. They will run a catheter through my tubes and run dye in them. I will be able to see this as well on a screen. We will not only be able to see if there is any tissue left, but we will also be able to see if my tube(s) are normal. If it is not, then we will have to schedule surgery to have my tube removed. I can still conceive with just one. Lets hope I at LEAST have one good tube. If the test shows that both of my tubes or normal and healthy, then we can try as soon as we want! I will get the results immediately.

I will be so glad when this is all over.

Things I am excited about:

  • this weekend in N.O. (Nick's going away bbq, and the zoo or aquarium)
  • girl's night(s)
  • new dresses
  • getting plugged in again in choir
  • more jewelry coming in my mail
  • Roman's Bible study
  • the Fall being the beginning of a new and hopefully better season. Fall is my favorite time of year anyway.
  • Blue Bayou
  • upcoming jewelry shows
  • LSU football season
  • fishing trip with Dad
  • planning vacations this coming year
  • meeting Jonah Christopher Jenkins at any minute!

Manic Monday

It has been a while I know.  I  have goon on 2 trips back to back within the last 3 weeks, and working working working.  Between Premier, and Hancock, I am staying very busy.  I am excited because my Premier Designs business is picking back up again since I had to take a break from in while I was on bed rest a couple of months ago.  So I am having tons of fun with it.  I just need a few more shows booked for August.  If ya'll know anyone who likes free jewelry, and might like to have a girl's night by having a jewelry party, just let me know!  The new fall/winter collection is beautiful!

Tomorrow I see the doctor for the first time since I found out that I had an ectopic pregnancy.  She will be doing a regular pap, and talking about and scheduling the little procedure/test that I will have to have done in a few weeks.  Pretty much, from what I understand so far, she will put some dye in my tubes and do an ultrasound, or something of the sort, to see if I still have anything in my tubes, and to make sure I passed everything.  If she sees nothing, then she will then give us the green light to start trying!!!  I am also having normal menstral cycles, so that just puts me that much closer!  I have faith that everything will be fine.  The doctor seems to feel the same.  She said because we caught this so quickly, my tubes should be saved, along with my fertility.  I just have to stay on my knees, and pray hard that this does not happen again.  I am very well aware of the fact that it is very possible once you have one ectopic pregnancy, but I am also very well aware that God is in control, and knows the desires of my heart.

Well, thats just a quick little update.  I need to get ready for work.  I will post tomorrow on how the doctor appointment goes.  I will also try to post some pictures from the trips.

Back from the beach!

Well yesterday we made it back from a week of relaxing at the beach.  The weather and the ocean were perfect!  I hated to leave.  We came back around noon yesterday, and headed for Danielle's baby shower for 2:00.  She got lots of wonderful things for Jonah.  I work today from 10-5:30, and tomorrow I have a training class from 8-12.  I will then, take me a nap and go see Harry Potter at midnight!  Ashlie, are we still going together?  I can't wait to see it.  Then, Wednesday morning I am leaving for the Premier Designs National Rally in Dallas at 7am.  I will be back late Saturday night, I think.  So when I get back, I will have lots of pictures to post from the 2 trips and baby shower.  I hope everyone has a great week, and Amber, I hope Addison has a great 1st birthday!
